“Catastrophe Art”

MC Yan, of hip hop metal fame LMF, and his team ensured a top notch experience for visitors to immerse themselves in his perspective of discovering his flood damaged art. The torrential rain that happened in September of 2023 resulted in a nightmare scenario for any artist, especially Yan. However, due to his Buddhist conditioning and spirituality, he decided to treat it as rebirth, by cocooning his art and objects of sentimental value in vacuum sealed bags, giving them new life and protection. Additional to this beautiful installation, Yan officiated his show with his signature soundbaths, attended by his devoted fans and collectors. The exhibition was held in conjunction with Chrysalis, the creative multipurpose space.
