KS
KS, a Hong Kong born and bred artist, grew up in the New Territories and started doing graffiti at the turn of the millennium. He is known for his spontaneous portrait paintings, with an eastern urban touch. He is a key player in the Hong Kong underground art scene and has witnessed its transformation in the last 20 years.
The artist’s 4th solo exhibition will explore the notion of realising memories through paintings. How reliable is our mind on basing our creations on? Can we extend memory through painting? Once the artwork has been finished, is the image of memory really how we recall it?
KS’ artwork features vivid and seemingly insignificant moments throughout his life, made more profound by recreating them on canvas.
